Crafted from carefully selected European linen, this lampshade combines structure with softness. The fabric's natural body allows the skirt to hold its graceful shape while creating an airy, light-filled silhouette that feels both delicate and elegant.

Inspired by the relaxed beauty of English cottage interiors, the design features a removable gathered linen skirt draped over a professionally handmade shade made from lining fabric. The result is a soft, layered appearance that gently diffuses light and brings warmth, texture and quiet character to a room.

Unlike a traditional lampshade, the gathered skirt extends beyond the frame, creating a fuller silhouette and a sense of effortless elegance. Whether styled on a bedside table, reading lamp, floor lamp or ceiling pendant, it adds a touch of softness to both classic and contemporary interiors.

One of the unique features of this design is the removable skirt. Additional skirts are available separately, allowing you to refresh the look of your lampshade seasonally or coordinate it with changing interiors without replacing the entire shade.

Understanding the Size

The measurements given refer to the diameter of the lampshade frame.

The gathered linen skirt extends beyond the frame and adds approximately 4–5 inches (10–12 cm) to the overall visual width, creating a fuller appearance than a traditional lampshade of the same size.

Handmade to Order

Each lampshade is individually handmade in my Liverpool atelier using traditional lampshade-making techniques. Small variations are part of the handmade nature of the piece and make every lampshade unique.
