Returns & Refunds

Each lampshade from The House of Soft Light is handcrafted to order, with careful attention to detail, proportion, and finish. Considerable time and craftsmanship go into every piece.

We encourage thoughtful purchasing and are always happy to answer any questions before you order — particularly regarding size, proportion, or colour — to ensure your lampshade is the perfect fit for your space.

However, we understand that occasionally a piece may not suit your interior as expected. In such cases, we are pleased to accept returns in accordance with the policy outlined below.

Returns & Refunds

Each lampshade is carefully handcrafted with attention to detail and quality.


Customised Items

Items made to your specific request — including changes to size, trim, lining, fabric, or any alteration to the original design — are considered customised and are non-refundable once confirmed.

If a customised item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days with clear photographs and we will resolve the matter promptly.


Returns (All Other Products)

For all standard made-to-order and ready-made pieces, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible:

• The item must be unused
• Returned in its original packaging
• You must contact us before returning


Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
We recommend using a fully tracked service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Shipping Charges

• For UK and EU orders, standard outbound shipping (where charged) will be refunded in accordance with consumer protection regulations.
• For orders delivered outside the UK and EU (including the United States and Canada), original shipping costs and any import duties or taxes paid on your behalf are non-refundable.


Damaged Items

If your lampshade arrives damaged, please notify us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of both the product and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
